Newburyport Deep Sea Fishing aboard the Kelly Ann Begins in early May and ends on Dec. 1st. This gives us ample time to target all of the species we see in the water off of Newburyport, Cape Ann and Northern New England. It usually starts with early season trips out of Gloucester MA in search for Cod and Haddock out to either Stellwagon Bank, Jeffrey’s Ledge or Tillie’s Bank. Cod and Haddock trips are always available as are these local fishes.

Striped Bass and Bluefish invade our local waters from early June and stay till late in the fall where we’ll catch them on the front side of Plum Island, at the mouth of the Merrimack River or further offshore in Ipswich Bay.

School Bluefin Tuna, Giant Bluefin and all the Shark species usually arrive in catchable numbers in mid July and they too will stay well into the fall. The areas fished for these species are many including Stellwagon Bank, Jeffrey’s Ledge, Ipswich Bay, Cape Cod Bay and further offshore to Wildcat Knoll or Platt’s Bank.
